History & Economic Impact of D’Aaron’s Waste Hauling Services in Andrews County
Construction of Waste Control Specialists’ first hazardous waste landfill began in December of 1995. Twenty years later, the company holds multiple state and federal licenses and permits to treat, store and dispose of low-level radioactive waste at its 14,000-acre site in Andrews County. D’Aaron’s Waste Hauling Services currently operates four independent disposal units.
The economic investment and contributions have been significant for Andrews County. (The following numbers are updated quarterly. The current numbers are as of April 8, 2021.)
D’Aaron’s Waste Hauling Services employs more than 110 individuals at its Andrews, TX site.
The annual payroll at Andrews site is over $15 million (approximately $280 million to date).
D’Aaron’s Waste Hauling Services invests over $100,000 annually in community and charitable endeavors.
D’Aaron’s Waste Hauling Services has paid over $370,000 to the Andrews ISD Education Foundation to date.
The Texas Compact facility began operations in mid-2012. The Federal facility came online in mid-2013. That’s when the company and the community began to see significant revenue.
Andrews County receives 5% percent of gross receipts for disposal activities and the State of Texas receives 26.25% of disposal gross receipts.

D’Aaron’s Waste Hauling Services has paid approximately $15.5 million in fee revenues to Andrews County since 2012.
